Have you ever tried a relaxation exercise, guided imagery, visualization, hypnosis? Well, today I tried a relaxation exercise called Journey on. Okay, so I remember a time in my life when I would have simply discarded this as a ridiculous waste of time, but I caution you not to do that. The mind is a very powerful thing. I realize that in the past, I have allowed negative feelings and emotions to overtake my body and cause very real physical symptoms to manifest. If my mind was able to let negative emotions do harm, then I must be able to use positive emotions to do good, right?
Obviously, using my mind to increase the blood flow and relaxation on one part of my body is not going transform my body over night into a perfect specimen of health. However, it is a pretty good start! I urge you to give this a try. And by give it a try I don't mean simply listen to the exercise. I mean really try! Give it your full attention and effort. If it does not work so well, try again tomorrow. I feel amazing after completing the exercise, with a renewed sense of mental strength! I want to know what you got out of it, and how you feel.
